According to Al Anba news outlet, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior will soon raise the salary ceiling on family/dependent visas (Article 22) to KD 800 from KD 500.
Article 17 and 18 expats will be affected by this order. Expats who receive a salary of KD 800 will be required to provide a work permit or similar document.
Additional income earned documents or proof will not be accepted.
This action will influence demographic structure in Kuwait as it only allows family members with high incomes that can provide their families with satisfactory living standards.
As a result, local markets are congested, Kuwait women will not have to look for occupations.
